We are using these across the entire organization including housing units. The access points help connect our students to the network for the elearning as well as their in class instruction. Our business units rely on our wireless network to conduct meetings and in many cases, just for day to to day functions.
  • Robust connectivity allowing multiple devices on at any given time

These access points are so versatile that we can use them just about anywhere. We do not use them as bridges

We Use 9000 Series AP to deliver wireless to guests, all the way to IOT Devices. We love the ease of configuring these newer APs on 9800 controllers. These APs rarely have issues and are easily configured. We can have them up and running in under 15 minutes from the initial boot.
  • Fantastic coverage in dense settings.
  • Ease of use to configure on newer controllers
  • 4x4 mimo antennas provide great service
  • Internal Antennas could be stronger
  • Antennas should be expandable from base model instead of choosing a A or E
  • Pricing. Cisco is price heavy, its always been.
Wireless connectivity is the main feature. Inside meeting or conference rooms, The best place to set up your router is in a central, unobstructed location to ensure your home Wi-Fi network has a strong signal anywhere in your house. Moving your AP even just a few feet might save you from endless connection problems and allow you to get the most out of your internet connection.

various Cisco AP models are being used across the enterprise. We currently have a mixture of models as we move to the WiFi 6E models
  • Easily upgradeable to latest software code versions
  • various mounting brackets available
  • third party mounting features are readily available
  • It would be great if there were small wall mount type AP's that could be placed in a network data outlet to provide flexibility in environments that are already deployed
starting with the new 91xx series, the AP's are more pleasing to the eye (interior designers like this newer design better than the big ol square 28xx models

Primarily used in one of our call centers. They provide wireless client access for roaming clients in our environment.
  • Provide wireless acccess
  • Have a simple configuration due to controller based architecture
  • Would like to see all models support wips functionality internally without requiring the access point to be dedicated entirely to that function.
They are well suited to corporate environments. I don't think they are well suited for home office environments.

We use Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points in our city schools to delivery wi-fi for the students, they use chromebooks during the class. The wi-fi 6 delivey an excellent performance network. Today we have about 70 schools and 23k students and 2k teachers that connect on wi-fi in 400 access points.
  • QoS
  • Good wi-fi coverage
  • Rogue AP detection
  • bandwidth control/user
It's not the cheapest solution, but I'm sure is the best one to delivery a stable connection. But is important to calculate the density to keep a good connection to everyone.
At home it isn't a good solution because the price, but for companies it's a a good choice for a long term.

We use the Cisco 9115/9120 in offices and in the future in our factory's. A good and fast connection is becoming more and more important, we have been using Cisco access points for over 20 years. They have proven to be very robust and durable. Far beyond their actual lifespan. With the latest model we are able to meet our increasing requirements.
  • durability
  • High available
  • Smoke detector intrigue
The whole product family is suitable for any environment, be it in the office or in a warehouse, a harsh factory environment, as well as in clean rooms and outdoors and underground.

We want to renew and refresh our Wireless Network infrastructure. We want to replace all our controllers like 5520 and 5508. And set up new Cat9800 controllers with Azure and DC. All old AP will be replaced by 9120 and 9120AX. Unfortunately, there is a problem with receiving the hardware (we had to wait one year). Also the number of wireless devices increases, and stable WiFi is important for the organization. Also, the number of SIDs will be reduced. This product will be used in the whole organization.
  • Operate with clients from different vendors
  • Cover the area with good signal strength
  • We can choose a different models of AP with inside/outside antennas
  • Firmware distribution between access points
  • Replace web auth certificate without reloading WLC controllers
  • The issue with expired MIC certificate - but this is not an issue with 9100
  • New AP with new hardware revision works only with the new WLC firmware
We have got Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points installed in our warehouse, office rooms, etc. - this works well. Also AP (maybe not AP itself but the WLC is well integrated with ISE product). The OfficeExtended AP is not available for the WLC9800.

I use Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points for campus WiFi on all sites (more than 320 Sites). The 9130ax are replacing the old infrastructure based on Ciscos AP 2602, 2702 and 2802.
  • Reliable
  • supporting needed standards
  • poor wifi 6e performance
Generally, I feel that Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points are suitable for all scenarios. High density areas and production areas. Maybe some older hardware or some AGVs might have issue with the connection

In both the main campus and the outlying branch offices, we use Cisco access points (AP). An approximately 26-VLAN is offered, and Cisco WLC oversees their management. In order to measure customer attention, BYOD, guest users, and wireless IP phones, it offers secure connectivity to mobile devices.
  • Around 26 VLANs are offered which is quiet good.
  • Secured communication and wide coverage.
  • Value for money for large sized organizations.
  • Form factor can be optimised for lesser space.
  • Antenna gain is slightly at lower side.
  • Major issue with boot time(very rare).
The only scenario, and it has to do with the cost, that I wouldn't advise is on the residential sites. However, if you really need a gadget that can fix every wireless issue, this is the one you should have. Some of many reasons why I would pick it over any other vendor are compatibility and functionality.

In our enterprise setting, Cisco Catalyst 9136 Series Access Points is used to provide wireless connectivity to employees, guests, and devices throughout the organization. They are deployed in our variety of environments, including office buildings, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and other locations where wireless connectivity is needed. The requirement for fast, dependable wireless connectivity to meet the rising demand for bandwidth-intensive applications and services is one of the business issues that the Cisco Catalyst 9136 Series Access Points is solving for us.These access points are ideal for usage in workplace networks with a high device density since they are built to deliver highspeed wireless connectivity and support numerous devices.
  • high-speed wireless connectivity
  • Support forbandwidth-intensive applications
  • Reducing the cost of the access points or offering more flexible pricing options could make them more accessible to a wider range of users.
  • access points do not integrate seamlessly with other systems or platforms that they use
Some of the things I like about these access points include:High performance: The Cisco Catalyst 9136 Series Access Points are designed to provide high-speed wireless connectivity to support the growing demand for bandwidth-intensive applications such as video streaming and virtual reality.Scalability: The Cisco Catalyst 9136 Series Access Points are designed to support large-scale deployments, with the ability to support up to 16,000 clients per access point. Our organization has many departments and uses the access point in all areas; SSID has been divided by areas and by connection type, For example, TI, guests, and clients. The most important function of the wireless network is visibility, stability, and of course, the velocity connection. For the administrator, it is very easy to manage and troubleshoot.
  • The velocity conexion.
  • The stability.
  • The visibility.
  • The troubleshoot.
  • The scalability.
  • The update.
  • The coverage.
  • Improve affectection by interference.
The scenarios where the Cisco Aironet Access point is good performance are the buildings and low-rise offices, but the problem is when the user's density is not well calculated, and the area coverage is not well calculated. Another problem occurs when there are many nearby buildings, and have many access points. The problem is interference.

We use our Cisco Aironet 1850 Series Access Points in our four city offices to provide wireless internet to employees and customers alike during purchase periods. We also put it in tags for use with data collector systems using RF. The captive portal system to connect customers is amazing and can be customized with the data to be inserted and layout. Deploying the access point is extremely simple with just a network cable connection. Management is performed via the web because this model has an integrated controller to manage wireless network equipment without IT intervention. The radiofrequency calculations, best channel, and interferences, for example, are done automatically.
  • It is a versatile, clean, balanced and secure access point.
  • Wifi 5 802.11ac wave 2 technology.
  • Client link and cleanair are functions to mitigate and improve user connection.
  • Reliable smartnet service for warranty and technical support.
  • Perfect for offices and indoor locations.
  • This model does not yet support the new wifi technology 6.
  • It cannot be deployed outdoors.
I recommend using this Cisco 1850 access point for offices, factories, schools, colleges, hospitals, and other indoor environments. It has great support for a medium density of simultaneous connections and has interesting features to mitigate and improve the quality and strength of the wifi signal. The captive portal brings more security and control of who is accessing the wifi network and prohibits unauthorized access. The price is great, and it has Cisco's reliability in technology.

My organization is using Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points to provide secure corporate wireless services to end-users and customers across our entire footprint. We have approximately 8000 APs deployed that support both corporate access as well as multiple guest services. Typically, our wireless service provides employees the freedom to collaborate and move freely through the various workspaces the company offers.
  • Throughput is second to none in the industry.
  • Reliability is very solid both from a service perspective and a hardware reliability perspective.
  • Wireless scanning and channel decisions can be tuned to provide a very powerful and reliable user experience.
  • Management software has been spotty, such as DNA Center (early versions pre v2).
  • Software has been unreliable (mainly AirOS).
  • Not supporting older APs has been when moving to new versions has been painful and caused multiple business complications such as audit support and mass AP replacements.
We use Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points in every deployment we put out. Cisco has a wide selection of AP products and can typically meet any business need we have. We deploy larger 9130s in large offices in high-density locations and smaller APs in less heavily densely populated areas. USB support and 3rd party partnerships have allowed us to simplify wireless RF by not deploying duplicate wireless networks to support things such as digital signage.

All new access points we purchase are Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Point series. We utilize them for our corporate network as well as in our k-8 school system. In conjunction with our 9800 wireless controller they keep our wireless network fast and reliable.

  • High density deployments
  • Reliable
  • Availability
They have a Cisco 9100 series access point to work in all scenarios we need. Whether it's the indoor access point with internal antennas or use cases where the external antenna is needed. They also have a 9124 series for all of our outdoor use cases.

Using across whole organization. Doing BYOD use cases.
  • Strong connectivity with stability
  • easy management with cisco wlc
  • very good support
  • more customizable options for coverage area configurations
  • more inbuild advanced features to use as standalone device
  • features such as locations tracking without advanced modules
Cisco Access Points are well suited for advanced deployments such as BYOD. this gives strong stable networks between users and systems through wireless networks. also, Cisco support gives very good service for failures and replacements. Cisco is not very good for low-budget solutions. because Cisco APs are a bit high in price perspective and solution components including WLC and licenses.
