We are the corporate office that processes all of the financial information for the 30+/- companies that our boss has either complete or partial ownership in. Having something that keeps all of our financials on the same platform and all accessible so easily is a huge thing for us. Being able to compare everything in one place and have it all be consistent in the account numbers, names, processes, etc., makes everyone's lives so much easier.

  • More "in your face" notice of added features that require being added to a user profile

For our size and diversity in different fields, Sage Intacct is amazing for us. We have different divisions from Materials to Entertainment, Recreation and Real Estate and the companies are located in multiple states. The information we process comes from various sources and types of programs, but Sage Intacct makes it easy to get everything in the system by having pre-defined import spreadsheets that we can just fill in our information on and upload it. These are things that we used to manually enter back when we were with Quickbooks. Plus, not having to sign into a different company every 10 minutes made us all so much more efficient. That's something that I think would be a great deciding factor when debating if Sage Intacct is right for a company that is perusing their options.

We use Sage Intacct as our general ledger. We switched to it so that we could use a modern cloud-based accounting system. We wanted to be able to integrate to other systems, which Sage Intacct is able to do with many different third-parties. We use its electronic approvals to help us track where purchase orders and AP bills are, which is much better than when we were doing it by paper. We were also able to improve our fixed asset tracking by using a module in the software instead of Excel.

Sage Intacct is good if you want a cloud-based system with a lot of integration possibilities. Sage Intacct is also very useful for being able to edit history while also having the audit trail on what edits were made. Sage Intacct may not work well if you have very complex reporting needs, but you would most likely be able to use a third-party add on to help with that if needed.

We use Sage Intacct for entering expenses, as well as entering weekly time sheets. It is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate through entering time, and great to review past expenses.

We use our customer's Sage Intacct accounts to pull reports and GL detail from their account ledger. That is how we perform out procedures and get an understanding of how the entity works and what types of entries are commonplace for the entity. We are using the Sage Intacct application for processing bills/ PO bills and applying the offline payment against the invoices and it will be useful for financial performance evaluation at the month-end. It is useful for extracting many other reports such as Aging reports, Bill registers, and T&E reports.
We are unable to schedule the payments directly from the Sage Intacct application.
It is very useful for Vendor creation and modifications if any are required.
  • Sage intacct will be useful in month end reconciliation by extracting all the required reports.
  • It is helpful for viewing of any type/particular GL codes directly in the General ledger folder
  • It will be helpful to apply the credit memos for a particular date
  • While processing the bill in Intacct the application is automatically consider the current date instead of the invoice date and has to be entered manually
  • There is possiblility of duplication of invoices which are processed via PO module since the error page will not popup while processing the normal invoice which is already included in the submitted PO list
  • Even though we have all the updated Vendor mapping file with detailed approver list, Sage intacct will display only approver 1 & 2 at the home page in the vendor mapping tab

I have used Sage Intacct mainly on the order to cash functionality and with limited exposure to purchase and AP modules

I would like to say this is a flexible software which provides multiple automated accounting workflows that reduces manual intervention while it is integrated with other apps.

Contract module entry flow which is little complex but it provides very good visibility w.r.t what is flowing through the accounting and what is happening when.

  • Contract Module accounting flow - Though it is complex to understand, it is very much needed for reporting compliance with GAAP.
  • Integration with CRM, multiple billing and timesheet / expense management softwares
  • Custom reporting resolves much of customization required for many reports
  • Cross object relationship in custom reporting
  • Edit option in invoice after reversing cash application
Contract and project management if the best. The custom reporting is the lovely feature that I would play all the time to create the required reports and automate the reporting functions.

Less appropriate only when some one off customization is required which needs lot of effort to do and I will go with manual approach

I work majorly on end to end accounting. Major Business problem that we face while preparing accounts is that information is scattered and not easily understandable. Further when dealing with multiple dimensions of reporting sometimes reports doesn't capture all the or crucial reporting dimensions.

Sage Intacct addresses these problems efficiently as mentioned below:-

it provides me with overall reporting modules. Customised reports like GL Tabular and P&L Portal Tabular helps us to get us to do more detailed and efficient reporting and review which provide better understanding of financials and let us look into more peculiar way. With those reports we can customize the financial as per our requirement. Further consolidation module is very user friendly. Multiple entities reports can be seen at in one format helps us to understand entity level and consolidation level reporting better. Trend reports are comprehensive and helps us to better compare results of multiple periods in a better way. It greatly helps us in trend analysis. Employee information is also very easily available.
  • Custom Reporting : Captures multiple dimensions and minute details
  • Consolidated and comparative financial
  • AP and AR module contain all customer and vendor details, payment or receipt details
  • Easy synchronization with other software like bill.com, BlackLine, nexonia and Expensify

Sage Intacct really streamlines the entire accounting experience, with most of the complexity being behind the scenes. It removes almost all possibility for error by having most of the complexity hidden in the form of vendors and accounts. This also drastically reduces the work load for those using it, since most of the information auto fills. It also makes all of your financial information centralized and easily accessible.

Sage Intacct, is a very helpful accounting software where we can books of record in very systamatic manner. It is easy to record the transactions and maintain the books of accounts, where we can easily pull out the reports in a customized format. As an Sage Intacct user, the priority is on ease of use which is undoubtedly brilliant work done by Sage Intacct Team. Another best thing about Intacct is upload file - we can pass any number of journal entries in a single shot which reduces so much of effort and time.

We use Intacct as our Accounting ERP system. We have over 30 different entities and it helps us have exposure over all entities at a given time. We really care about Debt, Investments and Equity and the cycles in Intacct help us stay very organized. Before, we were using Quickbooks and we had a different Quickbooks account for each entity.

I use Sage Intacct to make recurring journal entries. I run monthly, quarterly and annual reports to aid in my financial report preparation for the relevant periods. I also run reports for external and internal audit purposes, as well as when requested from other departments internally. Sage Intacct is well suited for most accounting needs, specifically journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processes and cash management. Intacct is also useful for budget planning and integration with financial actuals, as well as report writing to coincide with financial reporting processes on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. I'm not sure that Intacct has the capability to fully house a financial reporting process, but it is a great tool.

Intacct helps us to post bulk entries at once and with ease. It let us look into real time financials position of a business. Integration with different portals is smooth with Intacct. Working on multiple currency and generating consolidated financial report is most beneficial feature of Intacct for our organization. Further we download customized financials reports and aging reports for Vendor and customer. Helps us to keep a track of receivables and payable with a bird eye view.

Sometimes the buffer time is higher than usual and that's really frustrating. Exchange rate is bit different than actual rate we receive from our overseas vendors. Consolidation is really time taking process. Generating customized financials reports could be made easier.

We use for complete accounting activities like O2C, P2P, R2R & Financial reporting. We can upload transactions bulk however we can't edit the transactions in bulk. Edits only manual option available. Needs improvement

I am using Sage Intacct as an Accounts Receivable module. I use Sage Intacct for all AR-related problems, Beginning from sales orders to cash applications. Sage Intacct is really helpful and user-friendly. I easily learned how to perform activities by watching demo videos in the Sage Intacct library. Customer creation is easy to create and we can create the master data in the Top list which is a great advantage as we are not required to create the same customers in all child companies. Similarly, invoice creation is also very easy to create and modify the details and it has an approval system integrated so that if any approval is required for posting invoices invoices will be posted only after that. The cash application is also very good and easy to handle. We can apply the cash against particular invoices so that we can track which invoices are pending etc. Overall the we can use Sage Intacct in a hassle-free manner and it's very user-friendly.

Sage Intacct is fairly simple to use. The best feature of the product according to me is the Contracts Module. Which helps with the billings and revenue recognition. It has good security features where you can lock the books and also it has an audit trail which helps you track the changes that are made in the system.

I use Sage Intacct to enter journal entries into the system and run financial reports for our clients. We use Sage Intacct to help with private equity fund administration for our clients. One thing that could be updated in Sage Intacct to help would be to gives cells the ability to drag down the same values while entering journal entries. For instance, when posting a journal entry that has multiple lines, I must type in the fund that it is associated for each line. If I could drag that cell down similar to how excel drags a formula down it would save time.

I've only worked in two or three accounting departments but Sage Intacct is definitely the best software I have yet to use. It seems great for managing the books of a large corporation and has a lot of great functionality already available. I would definitely recommend Sage Intacct to other people looking for an accounting software.
